Do you want to put a link in your post that sends someone to your affiliate product? Have you ever wanted to put a link in a comment on another site directing readers back to your site? Both cases involve anchor text and links.
Anchor text is the word or phrase that you want to add a link to. Usually this will be a word that you would like the search engines to recognizes your website for. In an essence, your keyword or keyword phrase.
It doesn’t matter what niche your site is in, you will want to use a keyword or phrase that is related to that niche, but, make sure it has enough exact searches to be worth your time, but not so many search results in the SERPs (search Engine Results Page) that you cannot compete.
If you have been scared off from doing any HTML or code on your site, you really need to get over that. In order to create an anchor text, you really don’t need to know HTML coding, but it help to know what you are looking at. It shouldn’t be a problem though, if you are on WordPress, you have what we call a WYSIWYG, pronounced “wizzy wig” which stands for “What You See Is What You Get”

3. Hit the Posts Drop-Down Menu
4. Add New Post
5. WYSIWYG “Wizzy Wig”
6. Add Your Content to Your Post
7. Highlight Your Keyword/Phrase
8. Add Your Link
9. Hit the Publish Button
10. See it Live!
